Composure is equilibrium. Composure is about balance, coolness, and sureness. When you are composed, you know who you are, and you are not disturbed by the negative things people say about you. Composure means you always remain true to yourself and when you are correct, you do not lose your integrity to prove it. You just know it! This painting was inspired by a 1950 Hollywood Black Beauty pictures series of show girl Elnorah Huff-Williams posing with fellow show girls before a performance.
